How to add multi-factor authentication to your NJSL account

Here's how to get started

1. Open your web browser and

2. Enter your work email and password in the Microsoft login box

   Before entering your email and password, always confirm the URL starts with https://login.microsoftonline.com/

   
   

3. If you've set up an MFA method already, you'll be asked to use it. You may need to enter a code from a text message or app on your cell phone.

2. When prompted, click Yes to stay signed in.
3. Click the Add sign-in method link and select an MFA method

4. See instructions below for Authenticator app and Phone / Alternate phone

   Warning
   Do not select Office phone, and do not select Call me with your work number. Selecting those options may get you locked out, since you need to sign in to receive work calls.
