Transferring Your Domain Registration to JerseyConnect
Overview
JerseyConnect operates as a GoDaddy reseller and you're welcome to transfer anytime. Your library’s domain expiration date is tied to the domain, not the registrar. So transfers between registrars doesn't lose time you've already paid for.
As a reseller we can assist with some support issues. However, for sensitive matters such as billing, you will have to work directly with GoDaddy support, as your library is the domain owner. Likewise payments are made directly to GoDaddy using our reseller portal, https://domains.jerseyconnect.net/. Refer to this article for details on GoDaddy’s accepted payment methods.
Domain Transfer Process
Any time you have left on your current registration will not be lost during the transfer. The time that you pay for during the transfer initiation will simply extend your expiration by that much.
Unlock your domain and obtain an authorization code from your current registrar. You should be able to do both of these actions through your registrar’s customer portal.
Once you have the authorization code, go to our domain registration portal, https://domains.jerseyconnect.net/ to start the transfer process.
Select Domain Transfer under Domains and enter your domain name.
Register an account, pay for at least one year of registration, and provide the authorization code.
You will be offered domain protection, this is an optional service and is not required to complete the domain transfer. For more info on domain protection see this article, https://www.godaddy.com/help/what-is-domain-protection-32311.
You will then be notified via email when the transfer is complete, which can take up to 7 days.
If you have any questions about this service or the transfer process, please contact JerseyConnect support.
